11 - Basic Rules 11.2 - SAE Membership All participants presant at the competition must be current members of SAE. 20 - General Requirements 20.1 - Takeoff 20.1.1 - Time Limit Aircraft must be airborne within five minutes of takeoff authorization 20.1.2 - Takeoff Zone Aircraft must be airborne within 200 feet of starting line 20.2 - Flight Circuit Aircraft must complete at least one full 360º curcuit around the field 20.3 - Landing 20.3.1 - Landing Zone Aircraft must touch down within a 400 foot length in the same direction as takeoff. Aircraft can roll to a stop outside the landing zone 40 - Open Requirements Aircraft Requirements 40.1.2 - Gross Weight Limit Aircraft may not exceed more than 55 pounds
